Salary: $25.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week

About the Position

Edmonton Valve & Fitting (Swagelok Edmonton) is seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team in Fort McMurray. This position is ideal for someone with experience in customer service, sales support, invoicing, and technical products within the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to provide accurate product information, process orders and transactions, resolve inquiries, and ensure customers receive timely and professional service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Provide customers with accurate information regarding products, availability, pricing, specifications, warranties, and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare quotations, invoices, work orders, receipts, credits, and other customer documentation.
  • Process customer orders, sales transactions, payments, refunds, and account adjustments.
  • Review customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies, claims, and other concerns.
  • Consult with customers to understand their requirements and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
  • Determine and confirm product specifications based on customer and project requirements.
  • Coordinate orders and activities with sales, operations, inventory, accounting, and other departments.
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers to resolve product, order, delivery, or account-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, order information, invoices, and other documentation.
  • Monitor order status, inventory information, and production or service requirements.
  • Troubleshoot customer concerns and escalate technical issues when required.
  • Follow up with customers after sales to ensure ongoing satisfaction and support.
  • Prepare reports, statistics, and other information related to customer service activities.
  • Process sales transactions through Internet-based and electronic systems.
  • Conduct research and maintain current knowledge of products, services, and industry requirements.
  • Provide technical and product support related to valves, fittings, and oil and gas applications.
  • Perform other customer service and administrative duties as required.


Qualifications

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1–2 years.
  • 2–3 years of relevant customer service, sales support, technical support, or related experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is an asset.
  • Experience with valves, fittings, industrial products, or technical sales is an asset.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, SAP (including FI/CO, MM, SD), Microsoft Office and Outlook, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
