Job description

Position Title: Social Media Content Creator
Reports To: Casino Advertising Marketing Manager
Summary:
Under the direction of the Casino Advertising Marketing Manager, the Social Media Content Creator supports the day-to-day execution of social media initiatives for Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino Enterprises. This position assists with content creation, photo and video production, editing, post scheduling, community management, and audience engagement across all social media platforms.
The Social Media Content Assistant works closely with the Social Media Coordinator to execute content strategies, maintain brand standards, and produce engaging content that promotes the resort, casino, hotel, food and beverage outlets, entertainment venues, events, promotions, Ski Apache, Rocket City and Four Mountains General Store, other enterprise operations. This position requires an energetic, creative individual who is comfortable appearing on camera as directed and participating in video and photo content as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation, editing, and publishing of content across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
  • Capture photo and video content on property and at special events, promotions, entertainment shows, community events, and enterprise locations.
  • Edit video content for social media, digital advertising, website content, and internal communications.
  • Schedule and publish social media content according to established content calendars and marketing plans.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, messages, reviews, and guest inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Escalate guest service concerns, reputation management issues, and sensitive communications to management when appropriate.
  • Work closely with the Social Media Coordinator to execute content strategies, campaigns, and promotional initiatives.
  • Participate in on-camera videos, interviews, promotional shoots, livestreams, and other brand-related content as assigned.
  • Assist with influencer, user-generated content, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Support the development of content for promotions, giveaways, tournaments, entertainment events, hotel specials, dining promotions, and resort experiences.
  • Maintain organized digital asset libraries, content archives, and project files.
  • Track content performance metrics and assist with reporting on engagement, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Assist with basic graphic design, photography, and content editing projects as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather information, photos, videos, and promotional content.
  • Demonstrate commitment to researching and implementing new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance Marketing Department operations.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Coordinator on content development, scheduling, and campaign initiatives while maintaining direct reporting responsibility to the Casino Advertising Marketing Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned and needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in social media, digital marketing, content creation, photography, videography, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X.
  • Working knowledge of social media scheduling and management tools.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Express, Canva, or similar software.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking on camera and participating in promotional video and photography projects.
  • Ability to maintain brand standards and professional communication across all digital channels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and able to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Mescalero Apache Tribal preference and bicultural experience preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent walking, standing, sitting, reaching, bending, and carrying equipment.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, including photography equipment, promotional materials, and event supplies.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain.
  • Ability to travel throughout enterprise properties to capture content.

  • Dynamic marketing environment requiring frequent interaction with guests, team members, entertainers, vendors, and community partners.
  • Office and field-based work environment, including casino, hotel, restaurant, event, ski area, Rocket City and Four Mountains General Store or other outdoor locations.
