Lapeer Plating & Plastics, Inc., the premier manufacturer of Class A, high-visibility automotive components, is seeking a highly motivated, organized team player with a continuous improvement mindset to join our team as a Bilingual Administrative & Office Support Coordinator

This is a full-time, on-site position in Lapeer, MI. The position provides administrative support, bilingual communication, employee assistance, and operational support throughout the company.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF THE JOB


Spanish/English Communication & Employee Support

  • Provide professional communication and assistance to Spanish-speaking employees.
  • Translate work instructions, policies, procedures, forms, notices, and company communications from English to Spanish.
  • Assist with Spanish-speaking employee orientations and onboarding.
  • Help explain company policies, procedures, expectations, and workplace information to Spanish-speaking employees.
  • Provide Spanish interpretation during meetings, orientations, and employee communications as needed.
  • Assist with tracking and maintaining I-9 and work authorization documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Track work authorization expiration dates and documentation requiring follow-up.


Administrative & Operations Support

  • Maintain spreadsheets, reports, records, and tracking documents.
  • Assist with recruiting by tracking applicants, scheduling interviews, and contacting job candidates.
  • Assist with company-wide attendance tracking and documentation.
  • Assist with attendance write-ups, time and attendance tracking, and doctor's notes.
  • Assist with customer scorecards and basic customer-related tracking.
  • Assist with issuing and tracking tools, supplies, gloves, tape, PPE, and other production-related items.
  • Assist with supply records and help monitor inventory levels.
  • Assist employees and supervisors with obtaining necessary supplies and materials.
  • Assist with company events, employee activities, celebrations, and event planning.
  • Help coordinate event supplies, schedules, communications, and setup.
  • Answer phones, assist visitors, and provide professional communication with employees, applicants, and management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and perform other tasks and special projects as assigned by management.


EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Fluent in Spanish and English – Required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Ability to translate workplace information accurately and professionally.
  • Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and spreadsheets.
  • Professional phone etiquette.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently when necessary.
  • Previous administrative, manufacturing, or office experience preferred.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Spanish/English Bilingual Required
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must adhere to all company safety and work procedures.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality when handling employee and company information.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
