Space Systems Command (SSC), is the United States Space Force field command responsible for acquiring, developing, and delivering resilient capabilities to outpace emerging threats and protect our Nation’s strategic advantage in, from, and to space.

SSC plays a critical role in advancing the United States's space capabilities, delivering cutting-edge solutions to protect and enhance national security.

Essential Job Function
  • A strong systems engineering background with management of System of Systems Interface Control Documents that include both hardware and software.
  • Broad experience with ground systems, Telemetry, Tracking, and Command (TT&C), Command and Control, Data transport layer, Space Systems in multiple orbits.
  • Knowledge in architecting and guiding development of a federated service oriented architecture on a private platform; guiding creation and management of cloud application development and operations resources including Virtual Private Connections and Virtual Machines laaS, PaaS, and SaaS (compute, storage network, security, administration, automation, application services, databases) in either native cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Knowledge in supporting maturation of DevSecOps pipelines; facilitating development of infrastructure as code and supporting deployments.
  • Knowledge interfacing with the cyber and DoD intelligence community.
  • Significant technical background and experience in space-related large scale ground infrastructures.
  • Experience providing modeling and simulation support.
  • Engineering and technical expertise for modeling, simulation, and analysis support for space defense efforts (Assessment of National Space Control Capabilities (ANSCC), Space Protection Program (SPP), Space Situational Awareness (SSA), National-level and Joint-level studies and analysis.
  • Executive Agent for Space Systems (EASS) expertise in the following areas: detailed working knowledge of modeling, simulation, and study activities.
  • Expertise in performing and implementing National-level studies.
  • Expertise and support in leading analysis of alternative and concept of operation type studies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Active TS/SCI clearance/access or TS/SCI Eligible
  • Current CI polygraph or willingness to take one
  • Earned Masters degree in a system architecture-related discipline, e.g., Systems Engineering, System Development, Project Management, Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Physics
  • At least 15 years of relevant system analysis experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Specific direct experience performing system architecture tasks in the U.S. Air Force and/or the U.S. Space Force space system design, acquisition, and development environments
  • Specific direct knowledge and experience with system architecture-related activity associated with Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Space Situational Awareness (SSA), Space Control, satellite design, launch operations and space system operations

COMPENSATION / SALARY RANGE:

STI-TEC adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. The following salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc.
Salary Range $180,000.00 - $210,000.000 Annual Salary
