Technical Advisor โ€“ Space Systems and Technologies

Location:

Arlington, VA (On-site)

Experience:

10+ years

Clearance:

U.S. Citizenship required. Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance (or ability to obtain) is required.

MACH-20 is seeking resumes to fill SETA positions focused on space systems and technologies.

The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive 10+years of experience in current state-of-art space systems and technologies. Specific technical topics of interest include development of space-based technologies, remote sensing technologies, radiation hardened materials, orbital dynamics, rendezvous and proximity operations, and robotics. The candidate will support government clients in technical oversight and direction of program management, assessment of performer progress, and coordination and execution of contract deliverables. A successful candidate will have experience with NASA, military space organizations, defense industrial base and/or national level space or defense policy.

  • Expertise and strong interest in the above technical areas
  • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar areas needed to broadly support client goals
  • Persistence to find solutions (technical and administrative) when roadblocks seem insurmountable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient user of MATLAB including the Aerospace Toolbox
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills - both written (to include PowerPoint) and oral
  • Self-starter who is willing to both take the lead and provide support on a team in a complex, fast-paced, cross-disciplinary work environment
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests
  • Flexible and readily adaptable to change
  • Previous experience with supervising and executing multiple highly technical projects in parallel
Responsibilities
  • Candidate will advise and assist in daily program management duties including meeting facilitation, schedule development, milestone reviews, and program documentation.
  • Candidate will participate in new program ideation to include conducting literature reviews, crafting slide decks, refined technical storytelling, metrics development and transition planning.
