About the role
Hotel Bardo Savannah is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to help lead daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house spaces. Working closely with the Director of Housekeeping, this hands-on leader will oversee team performance, room inspections, productivity, inventory, and communication with hotel departments to ensure exceptional cleanliness and guest-ready accommodations.
The ideal candidate brings previous housekeeping leadership experience in a full-service hotel or resort and is comfortable balancing quality assurance, team development, operational efficiency, and guest service in a fast-paced environment.
This is an onsite position located at Hotel Bardo Savannah. Candidates without hotel or resort housekeeping supervisory experience will not be considered for this role.
What you'll do
  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and service areas
  • Lead, coach, and support housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, housepersons, and laundry team members
  • Conduct guest room inspections and quality audits to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and hotel standards are consistently met
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office to support room readiness, efficient turnover, VIP arrivals, and special guest requests
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, payroll review, productivity tracking, and daily operational reporting
  • Monitor linen, guest amenity, equipment, and cleaning supply inventory and coordinate replenishment as needed
  • Partner with Engineering to identify, report, and follow through on maintenance and room-related concerns
  • Respond to housekeeping-related guest concerns and support timely, thoughtful service recovery
  • Maintain compliance with safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and company policies and procedures
  • Support the Director of Housekeeping with departmental priorities, team performance, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of housekeeping supervisory or management experience in a hotel or resort environment
  • Previous experience in a full-service, upscale, or luxury hotel is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, schedule, and hold operational teams accountable
  • Strong knowledge of guest room inspections, housekeeping standards, productivity, and daily hotel operations
  • Excellent organization, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working with hotel systems, scheduling tools, reports, and basic administrative technology
  • Professional, service-focused leadership style with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
