Duties and Responsibilities:

Your role as massage therapist is a key in providing the core of the spa experience: The treatment.  

It is your responsibility as a Massage Therapist to ensure that we deliver that special, individual and unique service to all guests in the Spa. 

 Actively promote marketing activities set out by Spa Manager and his/her assistant.
Promote the sale of beauty products in conjunction with beauty treatments.
Responsibility for all payments made for beauty therapy treatments and products.
Record details of all treatments taken for each client.
Assist in the sales of accessories in the Spa.
To take responsibility for stock control accounting systems.
To take responsibility for cashing up.
Comply with hotel rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employment handbook.
Comply with timekeeping and attendance policies.
Actively participate in training and development programs, and maximize opportunities for self-development.
To maintain the appropriate attitude and physique to reflect and promote the image of Spa.
Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards to
include:

Accurately and promptly fulfilling guest requests,

Understand and anticipate guest needs,

Maintain a high level of knowledge, which will enhance the guest experience,

Appreciate the dynamic nature of the Hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers.
Be able to promote the Spa/ Hotel's products and services.
Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge about all Spa and hotel.
Ensure the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness in the Spa.
Demonstrate an understanding and an awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety.
Familiarise yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.
Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of your line manager.
Comply with the company corporate code of conduct at all times.
Familiarise yourself with the company vision and values which link to our model of desired behaviours that we expect all employees to display.
Perform other tasks at the level of the role as directed by your line manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals.
Desire and ability to improve your knowledge and abilities through on-going training.
Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries.
Conducting treatments according to spa menu, standards and outlined protocols.
Be knowledgeable of benefits and outcome in all practiced techniques and treatments.
Be knowledgeable in related treatment products and the ability to be flexible in the same with regards to guest requests.
To work with and fully understand the health assessment and to operate with discretion to ensure that any necessary precautions are taken.
At all times confirm scheduled treatment with guest before starting the treatment.
Ensure all treatment and preparation areas are set up as per standards and that any discrepancies have been resolved immediately. Treatment room setup should be in order before welcoming any guest to the same or handing over area to fellow colleague:

Ensure products in place and refilled as per standards and act on any discrepancies.

Serve post treatment drinks and be knowledgeable of the properties of the same.

Make product recommendations and meet the retail goals established by Spa de Constance, at Constance Le Prince Maurice Hotel.

Be well informed about the retail products and serve the clients requests and interests with regards to the same.

Be knowledgeable about retail products related to specific menu treatments and be able to make recommendations thereafter.

Assist the guest with an after/ home care program when suitable.


Be knowledgeable of all areas of daily spa activities and follow the set guidelines Standards of Operation (SOP) and Action Lists of Constance Spa.
Be present and actively participate in meetings and training that is given by Management.
Greet all clients with name recognition, a welcoming smile and a clear but soft tone of voice.
Be punctual at all times for appointments, team functions and meetings.
Apply the qualities of discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Be genuinely committed to clients and fellow colleagues-be aware that "clients bring clients". Take care and show ownership of the client from their arrival to their departure in the spa accommodating their needs, requests, and at all times respecting their privacy.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Handle any accident or guests incident in a swift and professional manner.
At all times present a healthy and well maintained appearance and proper grooming as per the Company's Grooming and Uniform Standards.
 

Qualifications

Qualification:
Middle or Secondary Education + Additional training or certificates in the relevant field is a plus.


Experience:
A minimum of 1 years of experience in hotel industry on a similar position.
Proven work experience as a Spa Therapist
Hands on experience in massage techniques, manicures, pedicures, waxing and face/body therapies
Experience in sales will be considered an asset
Proven experience working in a top luxury resorts.

Cleaning skills.
Fluency in English and another language, written and verbal communication.
Knowledge of a third language is a plus.
