Compensation

Position Summary

As a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients across the lifespan. Working collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care while promoting positive clinical outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered nursing care.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions while recognizing changes requiring intervention.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatments, medications, and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
  • Utilize electronic health records and clinical technology to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.
QualificationsEducation
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Licensure & Certifications
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.
  • Compact RN license accepted; Colorado licensure must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire (12 months for new graduate RNs).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire (12 months for new graduate RNs).
  • Successful completion of an EKG course within four months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and patient advocacy.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
