For more than six decades, we've delivered premium fresh flowers and floral supplies to retail florists, event designers, and supermarkets across the country.
We aim to be our customers' most valuable supplier - and we believe our employees are the key to making that happen.
About the Role
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business growth throughout the Southeast region by identifying, developing, and converting new customer opportunities. This highly visible, field-based role partners closely with Regional Sales Directors, Customer Success, and cross-functional teams to expand DVFG's customer base, strengthen customer relationships, and support long-term sales growth.

  • Build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers to increase sales, improve customer retention, and grow market share.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Directors and Customer Success to ensure a seamless customer onboarding experience and successful first-sale execution.
  • Present DVFG's products, services, and value-added programs to prospective customers and promote adoption of company sales tools and platforms.
  • Support customer growth by identifying opportunities within existing accounts and collaborating on strategic sales initiatives.
  • Represent DVFG at industry trade shows, networking events, and customer meetings to strengthen brand awareness and generate new business.
  • Maintain accurate customer activity, sales opportunities, and pipeline information using CRM and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

This role may also require occasional work in office, warehouse, and refrigerated environments. Employees must be able to operate a computer, communicate effectively, and occasionally lift and transport materials with or without reasonable accommodation.
Compensation & Benefits

We also offer:
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Short and long term disability benefits, life insurance and other supplemental benefit offerings
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Paid time off, sick time and paid holidays
  • Company Car

Other Information
  • Work Location: Remote / Field-Based (Southeast Territory)
  • Schedule: Full-time, exempt; Monday through Friday with flexibility based on customer and business needs
  • Travel: Frequent regional travel (approximately 75-85%), including overnight travel as needed

What You'll Bring

  • Proven ability to generate new business and develop long-term customer relationships
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of floral products and industry operations preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience using CRM and business intelligence tools such as Salesforce, Smartsheet, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently in a field-based environment
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory
