ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Manager of Social Work, performs a wide variety of duties in the hospital setting providing behavioral health and complex care management services to Southcoast Health patients across the hospital system. Duties include conducting behavioral health assessments and providing behavioral health treatment including individual and family psychotherapy utilizing brief treatment modalities. Serves as a consultant and resource to hospital staff in the management and treatment of behavioral health disorders. Collaborates and coordinates with complex/chronic care management and longitudinal community support services.Qualifications
  • A Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited college or university.
  • Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience with electronic medical record documentation preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.ย 

  • BLS Certification required within 3 months of hire.ย 
  • Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.ย
