Description

Looking for a position where you can make a difference? CTF Illinois is seeking a RN Trainer to provide nursing services for adults with Developmental Disabilities who reside in our CILA and Intermittent Programs. Provides nursing assessments to people served and medication administration training to employees per DHS guidelines in accordance with Rule 116 and best nursing practices. If you are an experienced nurse, have experience working with people with developmental disabilities, are highly organized, and motivated, we have the job for you!

Overview:

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday days in office, on-call by phone only weekday evenings and one weekend a month
  • Position based out of Charleston, but will travel to South Suburbs weekly with overnight stays once or twice per month.
  • Complete training to become authorized Nurse Trainer for Illinois DHS
  • Oversee medication administration including but not limited to: supervise administration of medications, train employees in medication administration, complete CBTAs and documentation, review medication orders
  • Complete Annual Health Assessments developing a service plan of care
  • Complete SAMA/ Physical Status Review/ Health Risk screening and update medical histories
  • Order/ Discontinue medications as necessary and Receive, Review, & Distribute monthly medications, physician orders, and MARS
  • Monitor/ maintain stock of nursing supplies and equipment needed for nursing services
  • Requires Local Travel & Travel to the South Suburbs

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Valid Illinois license to practice as a Registered Nurse and minimum 1-year related work experience
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record per company requirements
  • Must meet requirements in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and Local standards
  • Basic user knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), and/or other PC applications
  • 2 years' experience with DD populations preferred by not required
