Job description

Instrument & Control Engineer (I&C) - Korean Bilingual
Taylor, Tx.
About Us
Founded in South Korea in 2002, Doota IT has since been operating in over 50 customer sites worldwide. With our Round Rock office launching in 2019 we have the ability to offer the best of both worlds: the agility of a start-up and the stability of an enterprise. We are most proud of being recognized by the South Korean Prime Minister for our contributions to commerce and industry growth, positioning us as an industry leader.
Join forces with esteemed partners such as Samsung, LG, HP, SK Innovation, and Hyundai as we continue to make strides in the realm of environmental CEMS, encompassing design, measuring instrument delivery and installation, datalogger, FEP, monitoring systems, and CEMS room construction.
With Doota Industrial America, the sky is the limit. Join us and take part in crafting the future. Your extraordinary journey begins now!
This Opportunity
We are currently building next generation data centers, and looking for an I&C Engineer that will design, install, and troubleshoot the control systems and instrumentation required for large-scale construction and telecommunication infrastructure. You will ensure that all sensors, telemetry units, and automated systems are integrated seamlessly with network backbones.
This person is not just an "office engineer." The perfect person for this role will love taking their designs from a high-powered workstation directly to the field, seeing logic circuits come to life in massive telecommunication hubs and construction sites. This person will have a balance of focused design time and active "boots-on-the-ground" site visits and will enjoy that no two weeks will look exactly the same.
Join us and contribute to shaping the future of telecommunications while building a rewarding career in this cutting-edge field.
What You'll Do
  • System Design: Develop Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), loop drawings, and control panel layouts.
  • SCADA & PLC Integration: Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to monitor remote site health.
  • Field Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the physical installation of transmitters (pressure, temperature, flow) and ensure they communicate correctly with the central NOC (Network Operations Center).
  • Network Calibration: Calibrate instrumentation for fiber optic networks, radio telemetry, and cellular-based remote monitoring systems.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with construction crews to ensure electrical and mechanical conduits meet the specifications for sensitive instrumentation.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose "fault-to-ground" issues, signal interference, or logic errors in the field.

Requirements
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 1-5 years' experience in electrical engineering
  • Basic understanding of telecommunication protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP, MQTT)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • Preferred Certifications: EIT (Engineer-in-Training) status is a major plus for the construction side.
  • Bilingual: Proficiency in both English and Korean is highly preferred.

What We Offer
• Health, Vision & Dental
• Company Match 3%
• Vacation, Sick Time & Holidays
• Internal Mobility
• Unlimited Development Opportunities
• Themed Company Workdays
• Team Outings

Our commitment to culture, integrity, and continuous improvement lies at the core of our mission, propelling us to transcend industry boundaries and make lasting, positive impacts on the world.
