What is a sourcing leader?

Sourcing Leaders are professionals responsible for overseeing and managing a company's procurement and sourcing strategies. They identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure that materials or services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. Sourcing Leaders play a critical role in optimizing supply chains, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting business objectives through strategic sourcing initiatives. Their work often involves cross-functional collaboration with other departments such as operations, finance, and quality assurance.
