Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

This Mechanical Engineer role focuses on designing and developing manufacturing machinery and equipment concepts to support process improvements and new model introductions. You will apply sound engineering principles to optimize equipment design, performance, and reliability while providing technical support across equipment, manufacturing processes, and project execution activities. The position involves leading small- to mid-sized engineering projects from concept through implementation, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, manufacturing plants, and external suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop manufacturing machine and equipment concepts to support process improvements and new model introductions.
  • Apply sound mechanical engineering principles to optimize equipment design, performance, and reliability.
  • Provide technical support for production equipment, manufacturing processes, and project execution activities.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, manufacturing plants, and external suppliers throughout all stages of project development.
  • Lead small- to mid-sized engineering projects, driving technical execution from concept through implementation.
  • Conduct detailed process studies to evaluate machine capability and identify potential manufacturing concerns.
  • Communicate equipment and process issues clearly to part and product designers and collaborate on effective solutions.
  • Create detailed engineering specifications, scopes of work, and process documentation that define project requirements and success criteria.
  • Support equipment installation, startup, and verification activities to ensure all specifications and performance targets are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, critical paths, and milestone tracking to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Document and communicate project status, technical findings, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in mechanical engineering design, particularly for manufacturing machines and equipment.
  • Proficiency with 3D design software, such as CATIA or similar tools.
  • Background in automated manufacturing and production processes, including the design of equipment and processes.
  • Experience creating engineering specifications, scopes of work, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects and tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.27 - $57.40/hr.
