  • Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
  • Use computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment/software:
    • AutoDesk Software (AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks)
    • Dassault Systems Software (SolidWorks, Visualize)
  • Help establish/utilize the Engineering Design Library:
    • 3D model library of parts
    • 2D block library of parts/details
    • Company best practice design guides
  • Provide accurate time estimates for work required.
  • Work effectively and efficiently alone or as a member of the team to design layouts, mechanical components, electromechanical components, and systems; utilize the team for help and to resolve design issues or other problems.
  • Thorough understanding of drafting principles and Manufacturing standards:
    • Drawing Standards
    • Weld Standards
    • Piping design Standards
    • Document Control Standards
    • Design Software Standards
    • Machining Standards
  • Apply sound drafting and design principles in development and documentation of products.
  • Select parts/materials/design components and apply part numbers as needed.

  • Experience with ASME Code Section VIII, B31.3 Piping Code, Vacuum Vessels and Process Vessels Standard practices are a plus.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and understand GD&T.
  • Competent in use of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to effectively present information to Management.
