Department Description:
Columbia Pictures is a film studio and film distributor that is a division Sony Pictures. The globally oriented studio has produced and financed some of the industry's most notable franchises including Spider-Man, Jumanji, Bad Boys, Peter Rabbit, Men In Black, Ghostbusters, and Venom.
Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with general administrative tasks, phone coverage

  • Preparing and reviewing pitch materials, running occasional errands, and contributing creatively when appropriate.

  • Work closely with executive assistants and other team members to support day-to-day operations

  • Creating book reports.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Available to work in-office Monday through Friday

  • Must have prior internships at production companies/studios

  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Passionate about film

  • Comfortable handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion

  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Willing to assist with a range of tasks, from creative input to administrative support

  • Familiarity with Mac/PC systems and basic programs like Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

The anticipated base salary for this position is $22/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
