Job description


Turn Passion into Performance: Champion Sony Imaging Across Your Territory!
The Imaging Specialty Territory Manager will be responsible for executing Sony retail strategies and action plans with assigned Imaging Specialty retail stores to fully leverage the Sony Brand. Position will be responsible for selecting, training, developing, and educating retail sales specialists on the feature benefits of Sony products. Focus categories include digital still cameras, video products (including Pro video models), and core accessories. Strong selling techniques and building strong relationships are pivotal in this supporting role.
Individuals will be responsible to effectively merchandise retail locations with visual displays and in store promotional material. Will deploy launch materials and implement and troubleshoot visual merchandising. Also, the position will be responsible for gathering, summarizing, and reporting out on field and channel feedback and insights. Will work with Sony team to facilitate and execute a sell through strategy to maximize the sales of Sony products.What we Offer:

What you will do:
  • Engage consumers by explaining the benefits and advantages of designated Sony products
  • Work retail store hours including weekends during peak selling seasons and special events
  • Maintain store merchandising to Sony standards
  • Informal and formal training of store associates during downtime and after hours
  • Conduct factory demonstrations at photo retailers during key selling periods
  • Conduct consumer educational classes focusing on the benefits of Sony products
  • Participate in key consumer shows, i.e., Photo Plus, CES, PMA as requested by Sony
  • Work in conjunction with Sony sell-in and sellout staff
  • Sales Management: Utilize relationships built with store management and associates to increase sales.
  • Ensure Sony products are prominently displayed and fully functional on the store floor, as well as implementing creative initiatives with store approval.
  • Data capture: Collect and report visit data as well as competitive data in electronic call reports.
  • In-Store Management: Coordinate all aspects of Sony in-store presence. This involves training, assisted-selling and special event schedule planning
  • Position requires flexibility to travel (with overnight stays) multiple times a month
Qualifications:
  • Territory is Southern California and Nevada (Prefer rep to live in Southern CA (LA or San Diego Areas)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required. In lieu of degree, must have 4-6 years of retail leadership experience
  • Thorough understanding of consumer electronics, digital imaging (including both still photography and videography), and visual merchandising
  • Ability to educate and communicate digital imaging and electronics knowledge
  • Previous experience leading or overseeing other employees with demonstrated ability in coaching and developing retail sales associates
  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Exceptional ability to communicate effectively across all levels in order to build strong, collaborative relationships
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Ability to motivate, influence and promote Sony products to consumers at the retail level
  • Understand upstream and downstream impacts on the business, vendors and retailers
  • Strong negotiation skills along with excellent planning and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to travel as needed by vehicle and/or plane
  • Able to use a computer, phone and other standard office equipment
  • Able to rent a car
  • Mobile and able to sit and/or stand for four (4) hours
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
