Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager SONET to Nokia SAR for a contract opportunity supporting a critical telecom infrastructure modernization initiative in San Francisco, CA. This management-level role will lead the migration of legacy SONET networks to Nokia SAR/IP-MPLS systems across utility sites, helping strengthen mission-critical communications for energy and utility operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end SONET-to-Nokia SAR migration program across utility sites.
- Lead project planning, schedules, resource coordination, execution tracking, and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate telecom, engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and project teams to ensure successful deployments.
- Oversee utility communication systems supporting SCADA, teleprotection, substations, and mission-critical network services.
- Ensure project activities align with NERC CIP standards, utility regulations, safety requirements, and cybersecurity expectations.
- Support validation, readiness, and implementation activities for Nokia SAR and Nokia NSP network solutions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Contract/temporary position.
- Compensation: $75 to $95 per hour.

Additional Skills
Required Qualifications
8+ years of IT/Telecom Program Management experience in a regulated utility environment.
Proven experience leading SONET to IP/MPLS or Carrier Ethernet migrations.
Strong knowledge of SCADA, teleprotection and utility communications.
Familiarity with Nokia SAR platforms and Nokia NSP. PMP or PgMP certification required.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of utility safety, cybersecurity, and substation regulations.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in critical network environments.
