Job description

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
This is an exciting new role at Micron! As a Senior Category Supplier Manager, you will lead trade labor and trades programs for large capital projects. These projects are across the eastern United States. Your primary focus will be mega-fab construction in Clay, New York, and ongoing operations in Manassas, Virginia. This role operates at the intersection of construction project execution, labor planning, and workforce coordination, ensuring reliable delivery of skilled trades labor for complex manufacturing and semiconductor building projects.
You will work closely with general contractors, trade contractors, unions, and workforce organizations. Your role includes completing labor-related programs, reducing labor-supply risks, and supporting schedule and cost certainty on multiple construction projects happening at the same time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead execution of construction labor strategies in support of large-scale industrial and semiconductor construction projects (including new fab builds, tool installs, sustaining construction, and expansion efforts) serving as Micron's point of coordination for construction labor topics and raising risks and constraints to protect safety, quality, and schedule commitments.
  • Support prime builders in delivering stable, skilled labor to meet ambitious construction timelines and production targets.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with prime contractors, specialty contractors, union leadership, and trade partners to ensure alignment on labor plans, efficiency expectations, and compliance requirements.
  • Support the execution of labor agreements, contract renewals, and pricing structures tied to construction trades.
  • Provide labor-rate benchmarking, should-cost analysis, and market intelligence to support project budgeting and forecasting.
  • Monitor labor performance trends, efficiency indicators, and supplier outcomes to inform project and sourcing decisions.
  • Partner with internal collaborators to manage cost pressures while upholding safety standards, high quality, and workforce reliability.
  • Lead and support workforce development initiatives in collaboration with unions, schools, training centers, community organizations, and industry partners.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and data analytics to streamline labor-program management, track performance trends, and improve decision-making speed and accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction project management, construction sourcing, labor-program management, or capital project delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the field.
  • Confirmed experience supporting large-scale construction projects, industrial builds, or capital programs.
  • Hands-on experience coordinating construction workforce initiatives on active jobsites , including working alongside field construction teams, superintendents, or project controls, with responsibility for union engagement, workforce planning, and compliance oversight.
  • Strong deal-making, problem-solving, and cost-management skills.
  • Confirmed ability to be a phenomenal partner across prime contractors, subcontractors, labor organizations, and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting workforce initiatives for mega fabs, semiconductor facilities, or complex industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with Project Labor Agreements (PLAs) and labor-program adherence on large construction projects.
  • Experience working with multi-site or high-volume construction programs.
  • Background in workforce development, skilled-trades pipeline expansion, or community-based labor initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills, including use of labor-market data and cost modeling to aid project execution.
  • Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for operational improvements, especially using AI tools to improve efficiency and outcomes.
