Job description

Job Description

Atwell is seeking a Land Solutions Project Manager to support a leading electric transmission client across a portfolio of high-voltage infrastructure and right-of-way (ROW) projects throughout North Texas.

This role is remote; however, candidates located in or near North Texas are strongly preferred due to the need for regular in-person client engagement, stakeholder meetings, and site visits. This is a highly visible, client-facing role where your ability to build trust, represent Atwell locally, and support complex transmission projects will directly impact project success.

In this role, you will oversee land and ROW acquisition activities supporting electric transmission infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing easement negotiations, rights of entry, surface agreements, damage settlements, fee property transactions, and other land-related activities across active transmission corridors.

You will establish project scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverables; manage contracts and sub-consultants; and ensure project milestones, budgets, and performance metrics are met throughout the project lifecycle.

You will also serve as a trusted advisor to the client by maintaining a consistent presence in the region, staying ahead of the project pipeline, following up on outstanding proposals, and identifying opportunities to expand Atwell's support. Internally, you will manage project documentation in Vision, oversee invoicing and collections, and provide regular financial and progress reporting to leadership. Coaching and mentoring project team members will also be an important part of this role.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree

  • 4+ years of project management experience with a focus on electric transmission, utility infrastructure, energy, or land/right-of-way projects

  • Strong background in easement acquisition and land agreements related to transmission or high-voltage infrastructure projects

  • Experience negotiating ROW easements, surface agreements, encroachment agreements, rights of entry, fee property transactions, and damage settlements

  • Familiarity with utility project lifecycles, property rights, landowner coordination, and regulatory considerations related to transmission development

  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, project documentation, invoicing, and client reporting

  • Experience with Vision or similar project management/accounting software is preferred

  • AAPL, IRWA, or SR/WA certification is a plus

  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally throughout North Texas for client meetings, stakeholder coordination, and site visits
