This position will operate in a hybrid work environment, 3 days per week in the office (Philadelphia, PA).

OVERVIEW:

The Marketing Manager is a key strategic role that will be integral in all aspects of Glenmede’s marketing department. This position is responsible for the strategy and creation of marketing materials and campaigns for multiple business lines and departments, as well as project oversight and team development. This position will represent the department and collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs in order to support business line objectives. The Marketing Manager must be self-directed, detailed oriented, and present innovative solutions in a compliance-regulated environment. This position will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and will be focused on elevating the department’s strategic value. This position is required to be in the Philadelphia office three days a week (specific days are subject to change).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Marketing.

  • With a focus on business objectives, lead collaboration to formalize strategic marketing plans and initiatives for business lines as well as the marketing department.
  • Own high visibility projects and collateral that include, but are not limited to, short- and long-form content generation, websites, lead gen initiatives, advertising, presentations, and multi-faceted, multi-touch campaigns.
  • Oversee third-party and vendor relationships ensuring high-quality support, value, and accountability.
  • Possess an exceptional understanding of corporate brand utilization in all aspects of the team’s projects, including knowledge on elevating aesthetics and design as well as maintaining a consistent tone and voice.
  • Effectively problem solve with out-of-the-box thinking and creative solutions becoming an invaluable resource for the team and stakeholders.
  • Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasting, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights (lead gen scoring, user journey experience success, brand awareness conversion, etc.)
  • Represent the team at meetings, present data and team efforts, and work with key stakeholders to establish and improve working relationships and communication.

Leadership & Project Management.

  • Develop direct reports in all aspects of the department’s efforts with a focus on strong marketing content development and strategic thinking.
  • Review projects to ensure a high level of quality that aligns with business standards; provide guidance as needed for understanding and adoption for continued growth.
  • Provide direct communication regularly as it relates to expectations, performance (strengths and areas of improvement), and professional development for complete transparency.
  • Motivate and lead by example to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Leverage a customized project management tool (Wrike) to:
    • Oversee multiple projects to meet and exceed expectations, proactively considering both internal and external resources for successful execution.
    • Prioritize and manage projects focused on strategic objectives, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Influence the team culture and dynamic with an invested, collaborative, high-energy approach offering developmental opportunities, business knowledge, and best practices to newer/junior team members.

Technology.

  • Utilize marketing applications and software to continually optimize and enhance utilization – Salesforce.com, Hubspot, Wrike, WordPress, Seismic, etc.
  • Systematically track and report on digital efforts including campaigns, advertising, email campaign logic (trigger campaigns), lead scoring parameters, website engagement, and thematic campaigns.
  • Provide strategic enhancements for each as data is collected and trends determined.

Firm-building.

  • Active engagement and accountability in department-specific and firm-wide initiatives in order to expand capabilities, create solutions to unmet business needs, improve user experience, or develop more efficient processes. Ability and willingness to contribute to the advancement of team, office, and business capabilities. Other duties as required will be assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or a similar discipline.
  • A minimum of 10+ years in a professional marketing role is required. Financial services industry is a plus.
  • Successful track record in a senior marketing role with autonomy and accountability.
  • Experience creating content for digital and print collateral and campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing applications/technology required (CRM, CMS, email platforms, project management, etc.).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization and externally.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to balance multiple projects at one time and properly prioritize workload without external follow up (both personally and for colleagues)
  • Team oriented with experience developing and inspiring peers.
