Job Description

We're looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team in Winston-Salem, NC. In this role, you'll take ownership of mechanical design projects, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop, improve, and optimize our product range.   • Design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems and components using advanced 3D CAD software (Solid Edge, Inventor, or equivalent)
  • Create comprehensive technical drawings, assemblies, and detailed documentation that meet internal design standards and industry specifications
  • Perform analytical mechanical calculations, including dimensioning, structural analysis, pressure assessments, and stress evaluations
  • Develop and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout the design lifecycle
  • Lead or support prototype development, testing, and validation activities, translating designs into functional products
  • Investigate design issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions through collaborative problem-solving
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and product teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with customer requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help establish best practices in mechanical design and engineering processes
  • Document design decisions, maintain design records, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Five years of relevant mechanical engineering experience with delivering engineered solutions, product development, or lifecycle engineering relating to industrial or electromechanical products.
  • Proven proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and design software (Solid Edge, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar platforms)
  • Strong experience in creating technical drawings, assemblies, and Bills of Materials
  • Solid foundation in mechanical calculations, engineering analysis, and design principles
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication abilities and demonstrated collaborative mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Experience in R&D or New Product Development (NPD) processes
  • Familiarity with prototype development, testing, and validation methodologies
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies
  • Background in continuous improvement or lean engineering practices
