Job description

About Abbott Interfast

For 78 years, Abbott Interfast has been a trusted name in fasteners. We are a full-line manufacturer and distributor with an incredibly diversified OEM customer base spanning more than 30 industries. Our sister company, Abbott Metal Werks, runs domestic CNC machining, Swiss Screw, and cold-formed production right here in the U.S.

We don't just sell fasteners. We engineer solutions.

We're entering our next chapter and looking for a sales leader who wants to build something, not just manage it.

The Role

You will own the commercial strategy for Abbott Interfast. This is not a figurehead position. You will set the direction, build the team, and drive revenue across our OEM, distributor, and end-user channels.

  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy across all channels
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales organization
  • Identify and capture growth across our diversified OEM customer base spanning 30+ industries
  • Own pricing strategy, margin management, and key account relationships
  • Work directly with ownership to shape company direction
  • Partner with Abbott Metal Werks to grow our domestic manufacturing pipeline
  • Represent Abbott at industry events, trade shows, and with key accounts

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years in fastener or industrial distribution sales, with 5+ in senior leadership
  • Proven track record of building sales teams and scaling revenue
  • Deep knowledge of the fastener industry: products, applications, supply chain
  • Experience selling into OEM, distributor, and project-based channels
  • Strong commercial instincts: pricing, margin, competitive positioning
  • Entrepreneurial mindset. You want to write the playbook, not follow one.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (30-40%)

Nice to Have

  • Relationships across the fastener and industrial distribution landscape
  • Experience with domestic manufacturing sales (CNC, cold forming, Swiss Screw)
  • Background selling into diverse industrial sectors: energy, solar, automotive, construction, electronics, agriculture, and more
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or modern CRM platforms

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement

Why Abbott Interfast?

  • 78-year legacy with the agility of a privately held company
  • Domestic manufacturing capability through Abbott Metal Werks
  • Diversified customer base across 30+ industries -- stability and growth
  • Direct access to ownership. No layers. No red tape.
  • Competitive base + performance-based compensation
  • Build your vision. This role has real authority and real impact.

This isn't a job where you inherit a playbook. It's where you write one.

Abbott Interfast is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We encourage applications from all qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected class recognized by applicable laws.
