Job description

IMMEDIATE job opportunity for a driven individual who has a proven track record of performance and a desire to work for a well-established organization. We are looking for an experienced Solar Engineer for a California-based company providing turnkey solar energy solutions, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), along with permitting and maintenance to enhance sustainability, located in Irvine, CA.

We are seeking a licensed Solar Engineer responsible for designing, drawing, and stamping solar project plans. This role requires strong knowledge of solar system design as well as structural and electrical engineering principles to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient solar installations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare solar PV system plans and drawings
  • Review and stamp engineering plans as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Perform system sizing, load calculations, and feasibility assessments
  • Ensure compliance with structural and electrical codes and regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams on project design and execution
  • Provide technical consultation on solar system performance and capabilities
  • Support permitting and approval processes for solar installations


Requirements:

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Experience in solar engineering design and plan stamping
  • Strong knowledge of structural and electrical engineering principles
  • Proficiency with solar design and engineering software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Work Options:

  • Full-time in-office role preferred
  • Independent contractor option available (project-based, hybrid schedule with minimum 3 days onsite preferred)
