Job Title: Material Handler - Material Center and Warehouse Operator
Department: Warehouse and Material Center
Reports To: Warehouse and Material Center Supervisor
Location: Jeffersonville, IN
Job Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently moving, storing, and staging materials within the warehouse or material center. This role supports daily operations by ensuring accurate inventory handling, timely material flow, and adherence to safety and quality standards during a 12-hour shift schedule.
Responsibilities include:
  • Load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and stage materials for production or shipment.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders or documentation.
  • Perform inventory transactions using warehouse management systems (WMS) or handheld scanners.
  • Maintain proper material organization and storage locations.
  • Conduct cycle counts and assists with inventory audits.
  • Ensure materials are labeled, stored, and handled according to company procedures.
  • Monitor and replenish stock levels to support operational needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S standards).
  • Follow all safety policies, including proper use of PPE and equipment operation.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or process issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Repeatedly lift up to 50lbs
  • Previous warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred).
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to adhere to instructions and work independently or within a team.
