Job description

Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Qcells Service Solutions(‘QSS’) is a residential solar asset operation and maintenance service company powered by Qcells. QSS set up a design standard and installation guide for EnFin TPO and provide a specialized Quality assurance review service. QSS monitors all assets proactively to resolve any issue, so that maximizes homeowner experience and capital investor’s value.

The QSS Director of Product and Platform develops and leads the digital systems, tools, and operational processes that ensure consistent quality, reliability, and efficiency across the company’s residential solar TPO asset portfolio. This role bridges technology and operations — integrating data platforms, field workflows, and automation to enhance the customer experience, maximize asset up time, and ensure long-term performance of residential solar and storage systems owned under TPO structures.

The ideal candidate combines expertise in product strategy, operational technology, and asset lifecycle management, with deep understanding of residential solar operations, installer ecosystems, and post-installation service models.

The Director oversees Product and Platform teams, manages the strategic roadmap for all QA/QC and O&M digital platforms supporting residential solar TPO assets. This role focuses on automation and standardization to support rapid volume growth and consistent quality across installers and markets.

The Director also collaborates with internal subject matter experts to identify requirements and propose new products and platforms to leadership. This role should manage the project timeline and deliver clear benefits to business owners.

Third-Party Ownership (TPO) continues to be one of the fastest-growing segments in the solar industry, fueled by rising interest rates and the Inflation Reduction Act. Qcells is strategically positioned to capitalize on this trend through its domestic content tax credit advantages, strong dealer network, and advanced point-of-sale financing platform.

This position reports to the Head of the QSS Team or other personnel designated by the President of the Company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the strategic roadmap for all QA/QC and O&M digital platforms supporting residential solar TPO assets.
  • Lead design, development, and optimization of systems for inspection management, issue resolution, ticket tracking, and field performance visibility.
  • Partner with software vendors and internal engineering/data teams to build scalable tools for asset lifecycle management — from commissioning to service closure.
  • Integrate QA/QC and O&M platforms with enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, Aurora, internal platform and 3rd party monitoring tools).
  • Drive automation and process standardization to support rapid volume growth and consistent quality across installers and markets.
  • Oversee digital inspection workflows for system commissioning, post-install audits, and field quality validation
  • Lead design and continuous improvement of platforms for preventive maintenance, corrective work orders, warranty management, and customer service coordination.
  • Build KPI dashboards to track fleet uptime, issue resolution times, and warranty recovery performance.
  • Integrate O&M ticketing systems with inverter monitoring data and CRM tools for automated alerts and root-cause analysis.
  • Support O&M vendor enablement and ensure standardized reporting and documentation from third-party service providers.
  • Develop and enforce data governance standards for asset health, QA/QC, and O&M workflows.
  • Consolidate multiple data sources (monitoring, CRM, ticketing, inspection data) into a single visibility layer for business intelligence and reporting.
  • Deliver executive dashboards summarizing asset quality and operational health
  • Drive platform adoption, user training, and performance optimization across internal teams and installer partners.
  • Establish SOPs for platform-driven quality and O&M processes, ensuring consistency and compliance across markets.
  • Evaluate new tools, technologies, and integrations to support evolving TPO portfolio requirements.
  • Implement automation and AI-based solutions to reduce manual review time and improve response velocity.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, renewable energy, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in solar, renewable energy, or energy services, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong background in product, platform, or digital operations
  • Deep understanding of TPO structures, asset lifecycle management, and customer-facing solar operations.
  • Expertise in product management, data integration, and operational software development
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Snowflake, PowerBI/Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Proven experience managing large service teams and third-party vendors.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of solar PV systems, energy storage, and monitoring platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, customer engagement, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated data-driven decision-making with experience in KPI development, tracking, and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to identify and develop key strategic partnerships that enhance operational and business performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and executive presence.
  • Comfortable engaging with external stakeholders, including executives and partners, and skilled in delivering presentations, negotiations, and contract reviews.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and skilled in strategic planning and execution.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
