Job description

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Assists the Estimating department with clients, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal requests regarding quotes, bid planning, reporting, and administrative assignments.

STEP INTO THE ROLE

  • Solicits quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers by preparing the following: request for proposals (RFPs), making phone calls, e-mailing and advertising utilizing SmartBid software. Returns calls from the subs/suppliers to answer questions or bid results.
  • Downloads owner received RFP documents and monitors additional information uploaded by owner. Copies and distributes plan documents.
  • Assists bid teams with planning and scheduling pre-bid meetings, bid planning, and bid file set-up and completion.
  • Creates bids using HCSS and Excel software programs. (Enters all necessary information into the software by importing, typing, or downloading information.)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Computer and office skills normally acquired through the completion of two-year post high school degree and/or on-the-job experience.
  • Minimum 2 years related office experience.
