Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment to support safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, conveyor, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems while working collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Diagnose equipment failures using electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain and repair conveyor systems, motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, and power transmission components.
  • Support robotic equipment by assisting with troubleshooting, adjustments, and preventive maintenance.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Inspect machinery and identify potential failures before they impact production.
  • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately and timely.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and communicate equipment needs.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work area using 5S principles.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Cross-train on multiple manufacturing systems and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school, trade certification, or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred.
Experience
  • Two or more years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
