Job description

LGCY Power is seeking highly motivated industry specialists to join our growing team of elite solar professionals. We are seeking individuals that are ready to help us deliver on our mission: to provide an extraordinary customer experience while becoming the best version of ourselves and helping others to do the same.
LGCY is one of the fastest growing residential solar providers in the nation since 2014 and has been recognized as Best Places to Work by Glassdoor. In the Service Tech III role, you will be ensuring our residential solar systems are installed in a safe and efficient manner. We will rely on the Service Techs to assist in developing a culture of safety, responsibility, appreciation, and quality service in our pursuit of setting the industry standard for solar installation.

Responsibilities

  • Work alone or as part of a team installing servicing residential roof mounted solar systems
  • Represent LGCY Power in a professional and respectful manner
  • Moderate system electrical troubleshooting
  • Repair systems due to damage by weather or manufacturer's defects
  • Meet with local building inspectors and obtain passed inspection results
  • Inspect onsite issues as requested
  • Ensure a positive and high-quality customer experience through all interactions
  • Learn AHJ/Utility/NEC requirements and guidelines
  • Assist in or complete electrical wiring pertaining to the solar installation
  • Assist with MPUs and battery installations
  • Ability to complete derates and SLP's
  • Acquire the skills and knowledge to move into future leadership roles
  • Adhere to all OSHA and/or LGCY safety procedures
  • Clean and prepare vans at the end of each day
  • Be a part of providing a safe, positive, and efficient work environment
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Coachable and self-motivated
  • Possess a learning mindset
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record according to company policy
  • 3+ years of prior solar/roofing/electrical experience

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Certifications

  • Local electrical apprenticeship registration
  • Previous leadership experience
  • OSHA 10
  • Enphase experience/certifications
  • National Electric Code knowledge
  • Knowledge of local AHJ/Utility requirement
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Reliable transportation
  • Self-accountability
  • Journeyman license preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to withstand heights, climb ladders and be on roofs
  • Ability to bend, squat, stretch and lift
  • Ability to work in all weather and climates
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, such as attics
  • Ability to travel up to 60%

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday
  • Weekends and OT may be required
  • Workdays and start times are subject to change dependent on weather & additional requirements
