Job description

Job Description

Position Overview

The Associate, Global Sourcing - Portfolio will be responsible for supporting strategic initiatives as they relate to portfolio supply chain alignment, major equipment inventory tracking and reporting, and procurement program management. This multidisciplinary role will act as a bridge between departments across the Invenergy organization. The position will be based in Chicago, IL and will report through the Execution arm of the Global Sourcing group.

Responsibilities:

  • Support portfolio-level supply strategy: Align upcoming project-level equipment demand with external supply capacity. Ensure that portfolio supply strategy meets plant-level technical requirements.

  • Lead centralized receiving efforts: Oversee tracking, reporting, and allocation efforts around all inventoried major equipment.

  • Manage supply chain market intelligence and reporting: Coordinate externally and internally with category managers to keep Invenergy up to date on supplier market trends, manufacturing strategies, and federal policy evolution.

  • Program management: Oversee creation, implementation, and upkeep of Global Sourcing Execution initiatives across the project portfolio.

  • Act as conduit between Invenergy Project Management, Origination, Engineering, Project Development, Procurement, and beyond.

  • Support cross-departmental projects and process-related initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 4+ years of total professional experience.

  • 2+ years of experience with supply chain management, portfolio management or inventory.

  • Strong organizational, time management, critical thinking, and communication skills.

  • Ability to be adaptable and work in a dynamic environment alongside people with diverse interests and backgrounds.

  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Educational background in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related discipline.

  • Experience in supply chain management of wind and solar storage equipment.

  • Experience working in the renewable energy industry on projects that include wind, solar and storage plant design, and construction.

Base Pay

$93,000.00 - $108,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 20% - 30%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
