Job description

Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct site assessments and surveys for commercial solar projects

  • Utilize Helioscope or similar solar design software to optimize system layouts

  • Develop bills of materials and support material selection processes

  • Coordinate with utilities, municipalities, AHJs, subcontractors, vendors, and installation teams

  • Review solar system drawings, plans, and schematics

  • Provide technical support during project design and installation phases

  • Manage project schedules, communication, and stakeholder coordination

  • Meet with customers and project teams at job sites as needed

  • Perform project commissioning and ensure successful project handoff

  • Support process improvements related to cost, productivity, quality, and safety

Qualifications and Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 3+ years of hands on experience with commercial solar installations

  • Strong ability to read and interpret solar system drawings and schematics

  • Experience managing commercial solar projects preferred

  • Experience with Helioscope, Aurora, or similar solar design software preferred

  • Familiarity with utility interconnection processes and AHJ permitting preferred

  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills

  • Technical degree preferred but not required
