Job description

The Construction Manager leads commercial solar projects, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective execution while maintaining quality and compliance standards. This role oversees site operations, subcontractors, and project performance, while serving as the key point of contact for clients and internal leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet scope and timelines
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and field teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and specifications
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and progress to clients and leadership
  • Conduct quality audits, safety meetings, and daily site planning
  • Administer contracts, permits, and project documentation
  • Monitor productivity and drive efficiency across job sites
  • Anticipate delays and implement corrective action plans

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of commercial solar construction experience (500kW+ projects)
  • Strong knowledge of photovoltaic systems, installation practices, and commissioning
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and structural drawings
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors and project phases
  • Proficiency in project management tools and construction software
  • OSHA 30 completed within the last 5 years
  • NFPA 70E completed within the last 3 years
  • Lockout/Tagout completed within the last 3 years
