At Clark Bros., Inc., we have built our reputation over more than 65 years by delivering complex infrastructure projects safely, efficiently, and with integrity. As a leading heavy civil contractor, we continue to expand our renewable energy division, delivering utility‑scale solar, battery energy storage, and power infrastructure projects across the United States.

Our renewable energy group is experiencing significant growth, with a strong backlog of upcoming EPC projects nationwide. We're looking for experienced leaders who want more than just another project—they want to help build a growing renewable energy business with long‑term career opportunities.

If you're passionate about delivering large-scale energy infrastructure, leading high-performing teams, and building projects that make a lasting impact, we'd like to meet you.

Position Summary

Clark Bros., Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of a $150 million utility-scale solar EPC project in Virginia.

This is a full-time, on-site leadership role responsible for managing the project from mobilization through commissioning and final closeout. The Senior Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project execution including safety, engineering coordination, procurement, scheduling, subcontract management, cost control, client relations, and project financial performance.

Following successful completion of this project, the successful candidate will have opportunities to lead future renewable energy EPC projects within our growing national portfolio.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership for a $150M utility-scale solar EPC project.
  • Lead project execution from notice to proceed through commissioning and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, cost forecasts, and execution plans.
  • Partner closely with the Project Superintendent and field leadership to drive productivity, safety, and schedule performance.
  • Manage engineering coordination, procurement activities, subcontractors, and major equipment suppliers.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, productivity, and cost-at-completion reporting.
  • Lead client meetings and maintain strong relationships with owners, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and manage change orders and contract modifications.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect schedule and profitability.
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, project documentation, and reporting.
  • Coordinate startup, commissioning, punch list completion, and final project closeout.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and other project staff while promoting a collaborative team culture.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of construction project management experience, with significant EPC experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing utility-scale solar EPC projects valued at $75M+.
  • Experience managing projects from contract award through commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC contracts, procurement, scheduling, project controls, forecasting, and subcontract management.
  • Experience managing project financials, budgets, and cost reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is preferred.
  • OSHA and construction safety knowledge required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Work Location
  • On-site in Virginia.
  • Full-time field assignment.
  • Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position.
Travel

This position requires relocation or extended travel to the project site for the duration of construction. Following project completion, additional opportunities are available on future renewable EPC projects throughout the United States.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Annual performance bonus opportunity
  • Company vehicle
  • Per diem
  • Employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
  • Paid vacation
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid travel and housing (when applicable)
  • Long-term career opportunities with one of the fastest-growing renewable EPC contractors in the industry
Why Join Clark Bros.?

This isn't just another project.

You'll lead one of our flagship utility-scale solar projects while joining a rapidly growing renewable energy team with a robust national pipeline. As we continue expanding our EPC capabilities across the United States, you'll have the opportunity to build a long-term career leading some of the country's largest renewable energy projects.
