MyLand's innovative service allows farmers to easily and rapidly implement regenerative agriculture practices and improve their soil health by harnessing the land's natural ecosystem. MyLand partners with farmers to infuse life into their soil, helping return farms to a more fertile state while improving productivity and profitability.
We are seeking a Field Support Technician I to operate and support MyLand's algae generation systems from a regional outpost facility while providing field service and maintenance support as needed. This position is based in the designated outpost in California, Arizona, and Texas.
This is an hourly position with a targeted 40-hour work week.
This role reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Adherence to MyLand's company values and behaviors.

โ€ข Operate, monitor, and support algae generation systems from the regional outpost, including harvesting, cleaning cycles, system optimization, and diagnostic troubleshooting.
โ€ข Analyze system performance data and document activities to support KPIs, uptime, and fleet reliability.
โ€ข Collaborate with Operations and support teams to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions.
โ€ข Maintain accurate service records, equipment logs, and support service order management.
โ€ข Support spare parts inventory management and coordinate parts ordering as needed.
โ€ข Perform scheduled field maintenance, seasonal startup/shutdown, basic troubleshooting, and minor repairs on plumbing, mechanical, and electrical components.
โ€ข Assist with customer support visits as required.

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
โ€ข 2-4 years of technical service, process control, or related experience.
โ€ข Experience with remote systems controls or SCADA systems (required).
โ€ข Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
โ€ข Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office; Microsoft Teams and SharePoint proficiency preferred.
โ€ข Experience with data analysis and reporting (Excel proficiency preferred).
โ€ข Ability to follow, improve, and document operational procedures.
โ€ข Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field sites as needed.
โ€ข Ability to work in both an office/outpost environment (extended computer use) and outdoors in varied weather conditions.
โ€ข Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
