Job description

Focus School Software is a fast-growing Student Information and Enterprise Resource Management company. We thrive on creating some of the most innovative features on the market today, helping educators to meet their evolving needs in classrooms, district management, state reporting compliance, and other facets of student-centered education and technology.
Currently, Focus is hiring for a Software Tester who will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Focus School Software's ERP solutions, particularly in areas related to Human Resources and Payroll functionalities. This role is suitable for candidates with direct ERP system experience either from a user perspective (HR/Payroll end-user) or prior ERP-specific QA testing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive software testing of ERP system features, particularly focusing on Human Resource and Payroll modules.
  • Document test results, log issues, and assist developers in troubleshooting defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, support, and implementation teams to validate software quality.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios relevant to ERP workflows and functionality.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience using Focus School Software's ERP system or practical experience with similar ERP platforms in an HR/Payroll capacity.
  • Background as an HR/Payroll end-user, with strong familiarity of ERP workflows and common user scenarios.
  • Prior software testing experience, specifically testing ERP systems in Human Resources, Payroll, or related administrative domains.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL is considered a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to clearly document and convey testing outcomes and issues.
