In this position... 

The successful candidate will be part of the Test Automation Tools (TAT) development team involved in the delivery of SW solutions that facilitate automated testing of the latest automotive, infotainment and connectivity technologies.You will work alongside the automation architect, design & implement some of the foundational software components and tools used in automation.  You will also provide guidance to team members on proper usage of automation test libraries and test script development.

You'll have...

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 8+ year experience in software development.
  • 5+ year experience in automation and tool development.
  • 5+ of self-driven with leadership and mentorship of engineering team helping to foster growth of both internal and external team members.
  • 3+ years experience building, integrating, and deploying software within large-scale, complex systems.
  • 3+ years experience building and configuring Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Even better, you may have...

  • Strong knowledge of operating system architecture (Linux, QNX, Android, POSIX and Windows).
  • Experience with automotive ECU testing and strong understanding in CAN.
  • Experience in DoCAN, DoIP, AUTOSAR.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $99,600-$166,600.     
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

What you'll do...

  • Taking a lead role in the development of advanced automated testing solutions. This includes testing framework and tools, and test libraries that interface with vehicle electronic control units (ECUs) which are consumed by internal and external teams.
  • Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design for testability.
    Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability
  • Actively participate in code reviews and provide coaching to fellow team members on automation practice.
  • Partner with the automation architect and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate, prototype, and integrate new automation technologies, tools, and CI/CD capabilities that improve test coverage, reliability, and delivery speed across vehicle programs.
  • Serve as a senior technical partner to fellow developers and the automation architect, contributing hands-on expertise to the design and evolution of shared automation tooling, and helping raise the technical bar across the team through collaboration rather than top-down direction.
