Digital Consultants is seeking a collaborative and driven Software Quality, Functional and Automation testing analyst. In this role, the ideal candidate will be an integral part of ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with SCRUM teams, developers, and program management to validate functional requirements while also contributing to the advancement of our automation testing capabilities.


Location: Fort Huachuca, AZ

Location: Hybrid, Onsite 3 days a week or as required by the customer


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze and validate user stories, technical specifications, and functional requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Design, write, and execute detailed test cases, and test scenarios for functional, integration, and regression testing phases.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, at times collaborating with development teams to recreate or perform root-cause analysis.
  • Work closely with teammates, SCRUM teams, software developers, and program management to ensure alignment on quality goals and project deliverables.
  • Design, execute, and maintain functional test cases to validate that application features meet established requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of automated testing scripts to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
  • Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to provide testing status and quality metrics.

Requirements

  • Clearance: Secret
  • Certifications: Requires at least 1 certification in area of specialization. SCRUM, Leading SAFe, T&E, automation, and/or AI in T&E certs are valuable recommended.
  • Education, Background, and Years of Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience; or an Associate's degree with at least 6 years of experience; or at least 60 semester hours of formal education working towards a Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience; or 8 years of experience. One year of experience can be substituted by 15 semester hours completed towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communication skills-written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks within restricted timeframes.
  • Detail-oriented, able to work independently, self-motivated, and a proactive team player.
  • Understanding of Agile/SCRUM principles and experience working within sprint-based development cycles.

Preferred Skills

  • Contract writing knowledge is a plus.
  • Jira experience
