Every hire matters at this stage - and this role is no exception.The RoleElectra Aero Co-op - Fall 2026Electra Aero is seeking enthusiastic college students in a variety of engineering disciplines (aerospace, mechanical, structural, manufacturing, electrical, software, and more) to support the development of next-generation electric aircraft.Our Co-op program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience by contributing to meaningful projects. Co-op students for this semester will be focused on aircraft and system modeling in the Matlab/Simulink environment and helping integrate Nominal.io in our testing workflow. What You'll Bring: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral program in an applicable engineering or STEM discipline.2+ years of relevant experience (academic, project-based, or professional).Strong work ethic with the ability to proactively contribute in a fast-paced, fixed-wing prototyping environment.Developing organizational and communication skills.Bonus PointsProgress toward an advanced degree.Experience in prototype modeling and test programs.Exposure to electric aircraft vehicle operations.Familiarity with flight test data analysis, aerodynamic/propulsion system evaluation.Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.LocationElectra Aero Headquarters - Manassas, VA This is an onsite Co-op to encourage close collaboration on complex projects.CompensationElectra's salary range for this position is $5,200.00 - $6,100.00 monthly please note: Actual compensation for Co-ops depends on multiple factors, including project budgets, education level, skills, experience, and year in school.Compensation and BenefitsIn addition to offering an exciting work environment and the opportunity to be part of the team making Ultra Short flight a reality, at Electra, we offer an unparalleled total rewards package.
