Job Summary:
Legato, LLC is a dynamic small business headquartered in Columbia, near Ft. Meade, MD, seeking a Software Engineer to support their Software Management Team. The role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems while ensuring adherence to design requirements and resolving software problems.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
โ€ข Works individually or as part of a team.
โ€ข Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
โ€ข Resolves software problem reports.
โ€ข Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
โ€ข Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of (COTS)/(GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Experience coding in scripting languages (i.e.: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, JSON or other languages)
โ€ข IAT Level 2 Certification required at start date
โ€ข Four (4) years of IT application systems experience in technology solutions delivery is required.
โ€ข Two (2) years experience developing and customizing core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service Catalog
โ€ข A bachelorโ€™s degree in a related discipline is required. Four (4) years of equivalent experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree for a total of eight (8) years of experience
