Job description

Job Summary:
Kimley-Horn is looking for an experienced Software Developer in their Phoenix, Arizona office. The role involves developing integrations with vendor platforms, optimizing Web APIs, and contributing to technical designs for products in Kimley-Horn's portfolio.
Responsibilities:
• Develop integrations with existing and new vendor platforms to extend out-of-the-box functionality via API’s, Webhooks, Flat Files, etc.
• Build and optimize Web APIs to facilitate data exchange between internal software products and third-party vendor platforms
• SQL Database Administration (performance tuning and maintenance, agent jobs, monitoring)
• Translate business requirements into scalable back-end processes to help streamline and improve daily workflows
• Contribute to technical design for existing and emerging products in Kimley-Horn’s portfolio
• Document, support, and maintain integrations and applications post deployment
• Participate in code reviews and provide quality assurance/quality control
• Quickly evaluate bugs, and apply hot fixes to resolve issues
• Understand and apply best practices; remain knowledgeable of trends in the software development industry
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• 4-6 years relevant experience
• Self-starter who works well with minimal supervision and is looking to mentor/develop younger staff
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
