Job description

Company Description Payani AI is an AI-native marketing operating system that unifies fragmented marketing tools, data, and expertise into a single intelligent platform. The system connects CRM, email, advertising, prospecting, content, creative, analytics, scheduling, and automation, all powered by AI that understands each customerโ€™s business and data. Designed for a future where AI agents perform the work while humans guide and approve, Payani moves beyond legacy, screen-by-screen software. The platform is built so the software works for customers, helping them make faster, more accurate decisions and drive better marketing and sales outcomes.

Role Description The Software Sales Specialist is a full-time, hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA, with flexibility for partial work-from-home. This role focuses on identifying and qualifying prospects, conducting product demos, and managing the full sales cycle for Payaniโ€™s AI-native marketing platform. The specialist will collaborate with marketing and product teams to tailor solutions, create proposals, and negotiate contracts that address customer needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to inbound inquiries, generating outbound opportunities, maintaining accurate CRM records, and providing ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. The role also involves gathering customer feedback to inform product improvements and contributing to sales strategies that support company growth.

  • Candidates should possess strong Software Sales and Sales skills, with experience managing full-cycle SaaS or software deals.
  • Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Software and technology concepts, ideally within AI, marketing, or CRM platforms.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including the ability to present complex solutions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Candidates should possess customer-facing abilities in Customer Service and relationship management, with a focus on long-term partnerships.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced startup setting and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and modern sales tools; experience in AI or martech solutions is a plus.
