Job Responsibilities:

  • Design custom gearing and enclosed gear units.
  • Perform dimensional layouts.
  • Familiarity with hob tool design.
  • Perform gear geometry and gear rating calculation.
  • Perform bearing life calculation.
  • Utilize AutoCad and ProE software.
  • Prepare drawings and BOM’s for shop.
  • Reverse engineer gearboxes for rebuild
  • Interface with customers and sales staff on design of products.

Position:  Design Engineer

Reporting to:   Engineering Manager

Minimum qualifications include

Minimum 4 yr Mechanical Engineering Degree.

Ability to utilize CAD (2D & 3D)

Preferred qualifications include:

Five (5) years design experience

Experience in gear design, geometric tolerance, gearbox rebuilds and bearing life calculation.
