Job description

QA Manager

General responsibilities include:

1. Scrum Master and Servant Leader for QA Team.

2. Collaborate with other teams daily.

3. Monitor, track, and report on defects.

4. Perform testing activities including writing test plans, test cases, manual and automate test scripts.

5. Analyze current quality assurance practices at FDOT, and recommend future state practices and tools.

6. Establish quality assurance metrics.

7. Manage the definition, implementation, and integration of quality principles and quality processes into the design and development of software IT processes.

8. Perform mentoring and knowledge transfer to other Quality assurance staff.

9. Ensure that quality measures and procedures are executed.

10. Ensure that products, applications, and systems are following FDOT's established quality standards and meet customer requirements.

11. Champion the application of quality principles in business and IT processes through training, meeting and team facilitation, communication programs and team building activities.

12. Research, develop, and implement manual and automated testing methods and procedures to ensure that products meet the highest quality standards while integrating with the new Florida PALM solution.

Education

13. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.

14. Or 2 years of experience can substitute for education

Experience

1. 7 - 8 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or another related field is required.

2. Experience in a DevOps environment is highly desired.

3. Minimum of 5 years' experience in developing and conducting test processes for multiple types of systems, client users and/or units across an organization is required.

4. Minimum of 5 years of prior management experience, supervisory, or team leader experience is required.

5. 2 - 3 years of leadership experience with Enterprise Architecture is required.

6. 2 - 3 years of prior experience with transportation technology is highly desired.

7. Knowledge of Informatica IICS Cloud Data Integration tools and Snowflake is highly desired.

Primary Job Duties/ Tasks

The activities this candidate will be tasked with include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Oversight of test planning, writing test scripts/cases, test case automation and test execution.
