Complete Description:
The NC Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a short term (approx. 12 month) contractor. This position requires strong technical skills/experience
to support a stable Classic ASP web-based application with MS Access database backend that must be ported to a .NET and SQL Server database environment. Duties
included analysis, design, development, implementation and support for system enhancements which will require web-based .NET programming and database design.
Required system enhancements involve C#.NET and SQL Server.

Qualifications

Responsibilities / Expectations:
Perform expert level functional and technical assessments of the existing application that was developed in Classic ASP, Bootstrap, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML,
with MS Access backend databases
Provide expert level analysis of database design and structures
Analyze business requirements for function
Document and communicate technical analysis results to the Business Client
Develop, test, debug, and deploy software application / database
Follow formal SDLC process including required documentation
Effectively communicate and present to the Business Clients
Required
Experience in Applications Development and Database design using Visual Studio 2005 and above
Experience in design and support of Database structures MS SQL server 2005 and above
Experience in n-tier client/server systems
Advanced technical skills in enhancing client/server and web sites using programming techniques and languages C#, Visual Studio, .NET
Experience using MVC architecture
Experience with development of web-related technologies including XML, HTML, CSS, VBScript, JavaScript, IIS
Experience with Classic ASP and MS Access 2003 and above
Understanding of Web Service standards (SOAP, UDDI, and WSDL), graphical UI development experience
Thorough knowledge of the principles of application systems development and its associated lifecycle
Ability to work independently and in a team setting to meet tight deadlines
Desired SKill:
Experience with network operating systems such as Windows XP, Windows 7, OS365, Enterprise Active Directory (EAD), Windows Server 2008 and above
