Title: Business Systems Analyst (Business Process / Systems Integration)

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid– 3 Days Onsite)

Type: Contract (1 Year)

Compensation: $50–$60/hour


About the Role

Phoenix Staff is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support a major enterprise technology initiative focused on improving and modernizing business operations through the implementation of a new cloud-based Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solution.

This role will be responsible for partnering with business teams, technical resources, and implementation partners to help drive a successful system rollout. Depending on your experience, your focus may lean more toward business process analysis, requirements gathering, or systems integration.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across business and technical teams, translating operational needs into functional solutions, and supporting a large-scale software implementation from design through deployment.


What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand existing processes, challenges, and operational needs.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
  • Translate business objectives into clear system requirements for technical teams and implementation partners.
  • Partner with internal teams and external resources to support the delivery of a new SaaS-based CPQ platform.
  • Participate in solution design discussions, workflow reviews, process improvements, and system testing activities.
  • Ensure business requirements are accurately captured and reflected throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Monitor project activities, track deliverables, and provide updates to key stakeholders.
  • Support system validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and issue resolution.
  • Assist with change readiness efforts to ensure a smooth transition to the new platform.


Additional Responsibilities May Include

Depending on your background and area of expertise, this role may support:

  • API integrations between ERP systems and the new CPQ platform.
  • Data mapping, validation, and integration testing activities.
  • Business process documentation and workflow analysis.
  • Requirements coordination across multiple departments and operational teams.
  • Identification of process improvements and opportunities for automation.


What We're Looking For

  • Experience working as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role supporting enterprise applications.
  • Strong experience with requirements gathering, process analysis, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience creating functional documentation, workflows, user stories, and system requirements.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and collaborating across various stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise software implementations or large-scale technology projects.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, including SAP environments.
  • Experience with REST APIs, integrations, or system interfaces.
  • Background with data validation, testing, or quality assurance activities.
  • Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.
  • Exposure to CPQ solutions, quoting platforms, or order management systems.


Work Environment

  • Hybrid work schedule with approximately three days per week onsite in Phoenix, AZ.
