Job Description
Summary:
Implementation Engineers within our Advanced Engineering, Interface and Customization groups are responsible for complex development, configuration and customizations of ISCS's core insurance product, SurePower Innovation for our customer platforms.
All of our engineers work closely and collaborate with other Implementation Engineers, Business Analysts and other cross functional team members - adhering to standards and processes within ISCS Professional Services to configure SurePower Innovation's highly scalable, extensible and configurable technology.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Knowledge of Java and XML
  • Experience with an IDE such as Eclipse.
  • Experience with a source code control tool such as CVS, Github, SourceTree
  • Experience with project related tracking tools such as Sharepoint or Jira
  • SQL experience is preferred (MySQL or SQL Server)
  • Experience with Web Services - SOAP/REST
  • Great debugging skills using various tools (i.e. IDE, Browser, Application level, Java/Tomcat)
  • A strong self-starter
  • Results oriented - demonstrates that they can deliver results in their work with pride, ownership, accountability of deliverables and with quality in mind.
  • Strong analytical skills - someone that can arrive at a conclusion by asking the right questions and doesn't rely on assumption.
  • Ability to break down a task/body of work into logical and workable component steps
  • Strong multi-tasker
  • Knows fundamentals of design patterns and has good overall coding skills
