Job description

Position Overview 
The Welcome Center is responsible for supervising the Club entrance, greeting caregivers and guests, 
answering phone calls, ensuring accurate attendance records and data entry. 

2026–2027 School Year Opportunity

Hours During the School Year:
Part-Time | Monday through Friday
Schedule will vary based on the school calendar:

  • School Days: Hours will be scheduled before and/or after school.
  • Non-School Days (including winter break, spring break, and teacher development days): Schedule availability will typically be between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Essential Job Functions 

  • Supervise entrance to ensure security and adherence to organizational policies. 
  • Welcome and greet caregivers and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ensure accurate attendance is maintained and perform data entry tasks accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner for safety of members. 
  • Handle incoming phone calls and ensure that callers receive a warm, prompt, and professional greeting that conveys an attitude of helpfulness and welcome.
  • Contribute to maintaining a healthy, safe, clean, and well-maintained environment. 
  • Supervise Club members as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and departments to align goals and strategies and to foster a culture of cooperation and teamwork. 
  • Engage in continuous learning and contribute to the effective implementation of continuous improvement processes. 
  • Support the ethical use of data to make decisions in a timely and informed manner. 
  • Represent the organization to the community in a way that enhances the organization’s profile, builds its reputation, supports its strategic priorities, and advances its mission. 
  • Contribute to operational goals and objectives that align with and advance the organization's strategic priorities.

Other duties as assigned. 

The Welcome Center requires a majority combination of the following: 
Education and Experience 

  • At least 2 years’ experience in data entry, outcome measurement and/or customer relations. 
  • Demonstrated record of aptitude with basic office software and accurate data entry skills.

  • Ability to input data with precision and attention to detail to minimize errors.
  • Capacity to notice discrepancies or inconsistencies in data and rectify them promptly.
  • Ability to exude confidence and maintain control of a safe and positive youth development environment. 
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey information in a timely, open, and clear manner.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of and ability to effectively use computers, software, and other technology tools. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
