DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
To program and operate, when needed, CNC machinery while assisting management with leading and improving processes in the Quantum Fabrication department
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
• Perform as the Strong 2nd and back up to the Quantum Fabrication & Engineering Manager
• Program CNC machinery, source tooling, and assist with design/construct fixturing for product launches
• Assist with developing work instructions
• Utilize lifecycle management software (Agile) to create and manage Bills of Material (BOM's)
• Assist with setting up machines and communicating instructions for operating to team members
• Capitalize on strong organizational skills to facilitate product transition from quote to product release into production
• Research better machining methods to improve job efficiencies
• Assist Management with:
• Product launches within Quantum Fabrication by coordinating with all departments involved to ensure quality product is delivered to the end user
• Developing processes to manufacture product as efficiently as possible
• Monitoring existing processes and implement changes accordingly to eliminate non-value-added work content
• Designing, fabricating and implementing fixtures for use with CNC machinery ensuring that designs are safe, effective, manufacturable, reliable and meet quality system compliance
• Perform daily floor support
• Troubleshoot any issues with existing processes and programs
• Perform various tasks including product packaging, assembling fabricated parts at floor stations, and performing basic operations on standard manufacturing machinery, as needed
• Operate and maintain all types of heavy machinery/equipment, as needed
• Machine and fabricate parts to print specifications, as needed
• Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
• Complete the Annual CTPAT Security Training
• Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
• Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
• Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times
• Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Must be a friendly team player, detail-oriented, and honest
Must have the ability to:
• Safely operate heavy equipment that is known to interfere with Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators and other electrical medical implants
• Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
• Be cross-trained for multiple jobs within assigned work area(s)
• Work under general supervision and direction from leadership team
• Operate machines safely with minimal supervision
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages
• Operate basic machine shop equipment, such as milling machines, lathes, drill press, and band saws
• Read and comprehend work instructions
• Push/Pull/Lift 40 lbs.
Must have:
• Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement

• Advanced working knowledge of MasterCam CNC programming software
• Intermediate knowledge of maintaining and upgrading different machines
• Intermediate technical and analytical skills
• Basic computer and mathematics skills
• Basic understanding of production procedures
• Basic quality inspection skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Basic working knowledge of 3D modeling software preferred
• MIG/TIG welding skills preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• At least 2 years of experience as a CNC programmer utilizing MasterCam software
• At least 4 years of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• At least 4 years of experience as a CNC programmer utilizing MasterCam software preferred
• At least 6 years of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment preferred
• At least 1 year of welding experience preferred
• Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
REQUIRED EDUCATION
• High School Diploma or GED

• Technical school training in related field preferred
