Position: Senior Software Engineering Manager – Cryptographic Software Team

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing engineering team, managing hiring, staffing, and fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
  • Grow talent and foster job satisfaction by supporting professional development goals, providing constructive performance feedback, and collaborating with employees on growth areas.
  • Collaborate across functions—engaging with engineers, leadership, program managers, and shared service organizations—to integrate embedded cryptographic solutions.
  • Champion product line strategy and development best practices, driving creation of software solutions that exceed customer expectations.
  • Support pursuit and bidding activities, contributing technical expertise and strategic insights to strengthen proposals and secure new business opportunities.
  • Optimize staffing and program management across multiple programs, using earned value management techniques to monitor and enhance program performance and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance and process adherence, upholding standards and procedures, driving continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance operational effectiveness.
Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Experience leading engineering teams, including mentoring, task delegation, and cross‑functional collaboration in a technical development environment.
  • Experience in program execution, including bidding, project planning, earned value management (EVM), and risk and opportunity management.
  • Experience with embedded software development.
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance required prior to start date.
  • Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
