  • Drive test readiness into NPI program gates with clear ownership of technical performance, schedule, risk retirement, validation, and production launch deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain standards for test coverage, correlation, repeatability, calibration, measurement accuracy, reliability, and data integrity.
  • Ensure robust transfer to manufacturing through complete documentation, training, spare-parts planning, maintenance requirements, and escalation support.

Technology and Platform Leadership

  • Lead architecture, design, validation, and deployment of automated test equipment (ATE), BERT, VNA, oscilloscope, fixture, interface, software, and data-system solutions within assigned programs.
  • Support technology roadmaps for next-generation electrical and optical test methods, including 224G/448G PAM4, high-speed channel validation, automation, analytics, AI-assisted optimization, and test software modernization.
  • Partner with Product Engineering and Signal Integrity Engineering to establish design-for-test (DFT), validation, and correlation methods for emerging products.
  • Drive modularity, reuse, and common test platforms to reduce development lead time, cost, complexity, and support burden across programs and manufacturing sites.

Operational Governance and Manufacturing Performance

  • Implement and maintain disciplined operating practices for NPI and manufacturing test systems, including preventive maintenance, calibration, change logs, configuration control, equipment lifecycle management, and readiness reviews.
  • Monitor and improve key test performance measures such as on-time readiness, first-pass yield, test escapes, measurement-system capability, station uptime, capacity, utilization, and cost of test.
  • Drive closed-loop continuous improvement using test data, failure analysis, statistical process control, lessons learned, and standardized corrective-action methods.
  • Ensure deployed test solutions remain stable, capable, documented, and supportable throughout production ramp and sustaining operations.

Program and Resource Management

  • Manage multiple NPI, sustaining, and strategic test development programs from concept through manufacturing release and production ramp.
  • Establish project milestones, resource and capacity plans, technical priorities, risk mitigation actions, and status reporting across concurrent programs.
  • Coordinate test engineering activities with regional and global engineering and manufacturing teams; escalate constraints and drive timely cross-functional closure.

  • Support customer technical reviews, test requirements, validation strategy, issue resolution, and readiness commitments as required.
  • Communicate technical risks, tradeoffs, schedules, and readiness clearly to engineering, manufacturing, and business stakeholders.
  • Work with equipment suppliers and technology partners to accelerate solution development and ensure lifecycle support.

People Leadership and Talent Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Test Development Engineers and technical contributors with clear priorities, objectives, accountability, and performance expectations.
  • Build technical capability through mentoring, training, knowledge sharing, competency development, and succession planning within the team.
  • Allocate work and resources based on program priorities, technical complexity, capacity, and business needs.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, technical rigor, disciplined execution, collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation across functions and international sites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; M.S. preferred.
  • 8+ years of engineering experience in electronics, interconnect, test development, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading engineers, technical teams, or complex engineering programs.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting new product introduction and high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs, priorities, resources, schedules, and technical risks while driving results through cross-functional teams.
  • Experience collaborating across functions, sites, and regions in a global engineering and manufacturing environment.
